During the 1930s, Miss Donahue, she never married, worked side-by-side with William Veeck's son, Bill. "She fed him this idea that baseball wasn't just about the men in the ballpark, that a ballpark should also have a family atmosphere."
Bill Veeck took that to heart in all of his future baseball undertakings.
She also became an expert on waivers.
