This grew out of my Down Da Road I Go Blog which now has become primarily what I'm doing and music. I was getting so much history in it, I spun this one off and now have World War II and War of 1812 blogs which came off this one. The Blog List below right has all the way too many blogs that I write.

From the December 26, 2018, MidWeek "Looking Back."
1918, 100 Years Ago.
"Sandwich, in the south end of the county, is having its share of trouble now with the influenza, and to prevent a serious epidemic there, the health authorities have placed restrictions on all public gatherings.
"Public gatherings were closed down there for some time, several weeks ago. and when the disease subsided, the ban was lifted, and now it has been replaced to avoid any serious trouble.
